Welcome to a special section
of the Vellore Foundation web site. The Hidden Gems of Vellore
stories are our way of honoring people connected to the Christian
Medical College, Vellore. Each, in his/her own unassuming special
way, has contributed to the vision of Dr. Ida S. Scudder.
Some have helped
to build CMC into the premier medical center it is today.
Others have carried out Dr. Ida's passion to bring health care to
people who might not otherwise have access to quality care.
All of them have followed the lead of an extraordinarily
