In this conversation with Foundation board member and head of the Foundation’s research committee, Dr. Nissi Varki (Batch ’68), Dr. Suceena Alexander (Batch ’95) provides an overview of research achievements at CMC since its founding, and how research ties to clinical practice and the Vellore community.
ABOUT DR. SUCEENA ALEXANDER
Dr. Suceena Alexander is a professor of Nephrology and the Vice Principal of Research at CMC. Dr. Alexander graduated from CMC with a MBBS in 2001, and she received her M.D. from CMC in General Medicine in 2007, and her PhD in Nephrology in 2020 from Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai. Dr. Alexander is a member of the International Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Nephrology, American Society of Nephrology, Immunology Working Group, ERA-EDTA, and Indian Society of Organ Transplantation. She has received numerous awards and is widely published.
