Once again, the Vellore CMC Foundation has been awarded a Grant from USAID ASHA (American Schools and Hospitals Abroad)!
The funds awarded, $430,939, will be utilized to purchase the equipment to develop an advanced simulation training center at CMC designated for nursing students and emergency teams in anesthesia, obstetrics, and pediatrics. The Simulation training center will incorporate American best practices in protocols and patient safety and demonstrate to the community our shared values of women’s empowerment, inclusivity, and critical thinking. ASHA will directly fund equipment including low- and high-fidelity manikins used for education in proper medical response to mother and infant emergencies, training in basic and advanced nursing procedures, CPR training, and the debriefing tools that are essential for student evaluation and feedback.
We thought you would enjoy taking a look back at the many historical collaborations between CMC and USAID presented in the following video. USAID ASHA CMC VIDEO.mp4
