U.S. Nursing Alumni Together with UMW Help Fund CON Scholarship Program
With the generous support of United Methodist Women, we launched an annual matching gift campaign to fund 10 four-year CMC College of Nursing (CON) scholarships for students in India. All donations for this initiative are provided by members of the CMC Nursing Alumni Association.
U.S. Church Community Continues to Support CMC Educators and Students
Since the founding of the Christian Medical College in 1918, the U.S. faith-based community has supported Dr. Ida S. Scudder’s vision of educating women in the practice of medicine. One example of this support has been through the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, whose donations offset the salary cost of 17 faculty members teaching at CMC.
Gates Foundation Supports Training in Proper Use of Child Immunization Protocols
With a major gift received from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CMC developed an actionable solution to the challenges they faced in immunization training. The training program focuses on improving service delivery by building the capacity of its frontline health workers responsible for administering immunization programs.
