Cervical Cancer Screening for Women in Rural India
Empower Women: End Cervical Cancer
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable types of cancer—but only if detected early. In rural India today, too many women are still dying because they lack access to basic screening and care.
To change this, CMC Vellore’s Rural Unit for Health and Social Affairs (RUHSA) and College of Nursing Community Health Department (CONCH) are launching a pioneering, community-based screening program—with the support of the Vellore CMC Foundation. Together, we are working to empower women, save lives, and build healthier communities through innovative, accessible healthcare solutions.
The Need is Urgent. 19% of global cervical cancer cases occur in India. 23% of global deaths happen here too. 99% of cases are preventable through HPV screening.
Our goal is to raise $300,000 by 2026. Remember, every donation brings us closer to a future free from cervical cancer.
