Strong Commitment to the Values of Knowledge, Compassion and Service
The extraordinary works of high-quality and compassionate healthcare taking place at CMC Vellore daily continue to inspire people from diverse backgrounds to support CMC Vellore both financially and as program volunteers. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation generously supported a vaccine program instituted by CMC, and sent employees to India as volunteers for the Jawadhi Hills Model Village Program.

A Donor’s Perspective
Deepika Srivastava, a native of Chennai, India and current resident of New York City, has been a regular donor and volunteer, and most recently has become an integral member of the Vellore CMC Foundation team. Having been born at CMC and volunteered there as a child, her fondness for CMC Vellore’s mission has grown over the years. “Through volunteering at rural health clinics with my uncle Dr. Savarirayan (a surgeon at CMC), I experienced the healing ministry of Christ and the joy of service at an early age.
Ties to an Institution a World Away Through Family, Friends & High Ideals
Our key supporters are motivated by a deep affinity for a medical institution that has adopted “empathy as an institutional culture”. Our supporters who are not affiliated with CMC Vellore as alumni come from a variety of backgrounds ranging from finance, journalism, medicine, education and other professions, and all become staunch supporters because they believe in the unique education CMC Vellore provides for students, the empathy and care patients receive, and the scientific breakthroughs realized.
