As a Christian, Dr. Wattacheril’s passion for faith and work integration began in medical school at the Baylor College of Medicine. During this time, she also became well acquainted with CMC, Vellore and created a student rotation there. Dr. Wattacheril completed the Gotham Fellowship at the Center for Faith and Work in NYC and continues to develop innovative ways to implement spiritual tools to help healthcare providers and the patients they serve. Dr. Wattacheril is a keynote speaker for BioLogos and has a special calling for connecting with people at the fringes of any sphere but particularly in academic medicine.
Dr. Wattacheril is a clinician investigator, transplant hepatologist, and director of the adult nonalcoholic fatty disease program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
