We invite you to join us on Wednesday, October 12th  at 10:00am EDT for a thought-provoking and inspiring lecture entitled “Bewilderment and Hope: Stories of Healing and Beauty in Brokenness” presented by The Most Reverend Malayil Lukose Varghese Muthalaly.

Approved by Queen Elizabeth II as Bishop of Loughborough, and consecrated at St. Paul’s Cathedral by the Archbishop of Canterbury on January 25th, 2022, His Grace, “Saju” Muthalaly, is the youngest bishop in the Church of England. Bishop Saju was born in Kerala, South India, and his family was part of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The Bishop has an intimate acquaintance with Christian Medical College and with  Dr. Paul Brand. From an early age, he grew up at the Leprosy mission hospital in Bangalore, where his mother served as a nurse. Saju committed his life to Jesus Christ as a teenager. He was educated at the Asia Bible College in Bangalore and trained for the ministry at Wycliff Hall, Oxford. Bishop Saju is passionate about reaching out to all communities, emphasizing that, “There is nobody we will come across who is outside the bounds of the creativity, the love and the embrace of God.”

Bishop Saju is married and together with his spouse Katy, they have 4 children. He is also an ardent Cricketer and has captained the Diocesan team to the Semi-Finals of the Church Times Cup.
