ABOUT DR. PRATHIBHA VARKEY
President, Mayo Clinic Health System
Dr. Prathibha Varkey was recently appointed as the Mayo Clinic Health System president, effective August 16, 2021. She practiced medicine at the Mayo Clinic for many years before leaving to serve as the CEO of Seton Clinical Enterprise in Austin, Texas, and subsequently as the president and CEO of the Northeast Medical Group at Yale-New Haven Health. After earning her medical degree from Vellore CMC, she completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Health’s Hospital of St. Raphael. She has an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, an MHP from the University of Illinois Medical Center, an MBA from the University of Minnesota, and an honorary Master of Arts from Yale University.
