Amid uncertainty and chaos, Dr. Sarah Alexander (Batch ’60), and her husband, C.J. Alexander, a Ph.D chemist, made a
generous gift to the Hematology Department at CMC for DNA and RNA extraction equipment that will result in high
quality and quantity of nucleic acid for all the molecular biology testing with shorter turnaround time. This significant
investment into state-of-the-art equipment will improve the department services as well as their ongoing work.

I am proud of CMC for starting a division specializing in this field and the remarkable research projects that are ongoing.
